Talbot Morris

The Talbot Morris
was a short lived but fun Morris side organised by Dick Penny from Sudbury Upper School in the late 1970s. They played and danced around the usual village fetes and shows near Sudbury for a couple of summers. While not ground breaking, they did break a lot of sticks! Probably best remembered for their sheer youthful enthusiasm, they were more popular with the public than the Ring...

Pictures below show the side at Clare Carnival and Waldringfield Fete, possibly in 1979. Apologies for the picture quality, my old 110 prints are pretty poor! I think Waldringfield was their first public appearance.  As well as Dick Penny shouting and playing, the side included Martin Trouse, Simon Jordan and the rest of the Enterprise Sesh Boys. I'll ask Martin to name the rest, and if anyone has more pictures or comments, let me have them and I'll post them up.

Thanks

Ian
